Tea Room, Restaurant, Private Dining, Function Rooms for 100+
We warmly welcome you to Jonathans in the Park and the stunning 18th century grade ll listed Lightwoods House, both nestled amidst the acres of natural beauty in and around Lightwoods Park & just a brisk five minute walk away from the magnificent Warley Woods & golf course.
Jonathans in the Park is housed in the historic Lightwoods House situated in Lightwoods Park off the Hagley Road with the entrance in Adkins Lane, the Adkins family that lived in the house until 1903 had this lane named after them and their living ancestors often visit the restaurant to chat and share their family history and photographs with us, history books written by local historians David & Ross Yates and Dan Halverson about The Lightwoods are available to browse or purchase from our servery.
In October 2017 Jonathans in the Park opened as a quintessentially Great British tearoom by day and a Victorian Country House Dining Restaurant on Saturday evenings, plus the now world famous Irish experiences on Wednesday and Friday evenings bringing together the finest Irish traditional dining with live Irish traditional music, the Irish coffees are said to be the best tasting ever, this is due to a quality Irish Whiskey being blended with the perfect temperature double shot of fine barista coffee topped fresh double cream.
We cater for everything from breakfast brunch, lunch, barista coffees, teas and cakes to afternoon tea, evening meals, weddings, celebrations and seminars.
Jonathans in the Park follows in the footsteps of celebrity favourite Jonathans Restaurant on the Hagley Road/ Wolverhampton Road junction which was open from 1977 to 2008.
Coming soon –  Shakespeares Garden Room, an original Victorian extension to the Georgian built main house with french doors leading out into the green flag awarded Shakespeares Garden, ideal for afternoon tea parties, & smaller private celebrations, business meetings, or simply a beautiful place to relax away from the crowds and savour some of the worlds finest wines or a beer with soft classical music playing in the background.
